Challenge/Task
Weather Delays: Unpredictable rain and high humidity caused delays in the painting schedule, as painting in wet conditions affects adhesion and drying time. Surface Damage: Several areas of the exterior had peeling paint, water damage, and cracks that required more time for repair and preparation than initially planned. Height & Access Issues: High walls and narrow exterior spaces made it difficult to place ladders and scaffolding, requiring extra safety measures and equipment adjustments. Color Matching & Client Approval: There were changes in color preferences during the project, which led to repainting a few sections. Time had to be allocated for sample testing and client approvals. Environmental Precautions: Ensuring paint fumes and materials didn’t affect nearby plants, lawns, or neighboring properties required additional protective coverings and careful handling. Insect and Mold Presence: Some areas had mold growth and insect nests that had to be treated and cleaned before painting could begin, adding to prep time.
